Johnson Lumber and Log Homes is a
family-owned business nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains
between Carthage and Deer River in New York State. At their on-site
mill, every bit of the
raw product is fully utilized in the production of lumber, log cabin logs
and mulch.
When it comes to building the log home of your dreams, the Johnson Family
is dedicated to providing top quality materials and proven building
methods to ensure a quality, weather tight home. Whether you are working
with an Architect or Contractor to custom design a Log Home, or wish to
choose from one of Johnson's Log Home designs and build it yourself,
Johnson Log Homes can answer your questions. The logs used in
Johnson's log homes are from locally
grown eastern white pine timber and are cut
down to 6x8 log cabin cants in preparation for drying. They are air dried
and then kiln dried to set the pitch in the logs. After drying, the logs
are planed with a double tongue and groove technique that prohibits water
and air filtration. The entire process, from raw timber to finished log
cabin logs, is performed at the Johnson Lumber Mill. With over 21 years construction experience,
the professionals at Johnson Log Homes can answer any of your questions about building
a log
home. By manufacturing their own product, Johnson Log Homes feels they can
assure a weather tight home with
their proven manufacturing and building methods.
Whether you are interested in a custom built log home or a
log home package, Johnson Log Homes can assist you in building the log
home you've always wanted. Please review the styles
and floor plans available on this website and contact
